Producer Uday Mehta is always known for catching up with the right talent. After a few successful films Udaya Mehta for his next Kannada film production chose highly talented director BM Giriraj. Uday Mehta was observing Giriraj from the days of his ‘Krishnan Love Story’ and after a few years offered a film for him.

Three times state award winner BM Giriraj has a series of well made films to his credit – Naviladavaru experimental, Jatta, Mythri etc.

Producer Udaya Mehta and BM Giriraj combination is offering ‘Avani’ a horror thriller subject. The film ‘Avani’ centers on a man eater tiger (nothing to do with Man Eater of Malgudi Days).

The incidents that happened in North India are the main substance for this film. This is under script level. Raghu Niduvalli is dialogue writer for this film.

Producer Uday Mehta is also planning a film with action prince Dhruva Sarja in the Nanda Kishor direction.
