WE NEED TO GET SOME CHANGE IN CINEMA INDUSTRY ? KUMAR AND JAYANNA
Posted date: 23/November/2009

At the 11th Amrutha Mathu Manthana of the Kannada film journalists the two prominent distributors, exhibitors and producers N Kumar and Jayanna agreed ‘Nammalli Badhalavane agabeku’. This is not pertaining to the expenditure of the films but a total commitment should come from the creative personality – DIRECTOR both of them stressed.

Looking at the welfare of the producer is what the others should know. A producer gives everything needed but he is not given the proper result means what asks the duo at AMM on Saturday morning at Green House Raj Milan. The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce is taking a direct step in saving the skin of the producer and this will he known soon.

The director should be attentive is also what Jayanna agrees completely. He has faced the defeat because he was not able to study the director of ‘Arjun’ Kannada cinema Shivaji Shindhe. He said something and done something else. I did not continue the mistake in ‘Jaajie Mallige’ and ‘Gilli’. Both gave good results for right approach from the producers says Jayanna who came with Rs.500 salary as booking clerk to the film business. From Chandrachakori he became the blue eyed boy in business but by that time four of his friends had joined him.

On the question whether the percentage or rental should stay Jayanna says for big films of about seven to eight stars the rental only should stay. For meager producers the percentage is the most wanted they say. Yet no decision has been taken so far and even the percentage sharing system would be known in a short while from now.

To the point whether the exhibitors are cooperating the duo said 90 percent of the exhibitors are in the two systems of business and helping the producers. The films are not collecting well only in Bangalore. The first week share is 5 lakhs the second week will be 1 lakh and third week 1 lakh deficit. In other centers it is not like this says Jayanna. He prefers rent instead of percentage.

N Kumar of over 25 films is of the opinion that the exhibitors should cut down the pricing structure. It is the fundamental duty of the exhibitor to make cozy atmosphere for the audience to get in to the theatre he says. As of now the producers from real estate business who said ‘Hodhre Saitu Bandhre Layout’ are not in much.

According to N Kumar the ‘Kaiguna and Kalguna’ of Dr.Jayamala is good. So it is no problem she remains the Apex Body chief he says with bright smile on his face.

Kumar and Jayanna avarige Jayavagali!
