The movie is about four middle-aged persons who give more importance to liquor than to their families. Vikas Chandra aka Vicky (Rohith Nagesh) is the leader of the group consisting of Pradeep (Ashwin Hassan), Satish (Kuri Ranga), and Rohan (Vignesh Kamath). They spend more time boozing than spending quality time with their families. Pradeep`s wife Niharika (Nishvika Gowda) asks her husband to join a de-addiction centre but he ends life by committing suicide. Vicky, in an inebriated condition, and his wife Sharada (Swathi) go in a car to their native. What happens to Vicky and Sharada is what Vikasa Parva is all about.

Rohith Nagesh, who played the lead apart from writing dialogues, script, and screenplay, deserves appreciation for selecting the much-needed subject that has the potential to convey a strong message to youths, including incorrigible middle-aged drunkards, on the ill-effects of drink and drive. Director Anbu Aras has tried his best to showcase his skills in helming a movie but the movie Vikasa Parva would have been a better movie if he focused on exploiting the acting skills of the cast and ensured screenplay crisp.

Rohith Nagesh, who has the experience of acting in tele serials, is good in delivering dialogues. Since the movie is about middle-aged persons, it is not fair to expect Rohith Nagesh, a middle-aged actor, to excel in action sequences .

Swathi, as a mother of two kids, has tried her best to look glamorous in a song. Though Nishvika Gowda appears in a few scenes, she has acted well. Bala Rajwadi, Kuri Ranga, Ashwin Hassan provided good support.

It would have been better had the director reduced the duration of a dream scene, where the lead pair met with an accident, by three to five minutes.

All in all, it is worth watching by family members, especially drunkards, to know the ill-effects of alcohol.
