HECTIC PREPARATION FOR ?SUGRIVA? 18 HOURS KANNADA FILM!

The film is ‘Sugriva’ a commercial entertainer with lot of twists and turns. Kannada super star Shivarajakumar and young sensation Yagna Shetty plus 30 other artists and nearly 1500 technicians and workers were working every minute when www.chitratara.com team visited the spot around 4 pm on Saturday 10th October 2009. The rehearsal for making every scene complete in one take was going on (we have purposefully avoided mention of the location on the advice of producer of the film Anaji Nagaraj) and the buzz of activity left an impression that the film might be completed in less than 18 hours.
Actor Shivarajakumar speaking exclusively to this correspondent was looking excited on this world record project. There is lot of emotional scenes he disclosed. He was rehearsing the kitchen scene with his son. Yagna Shetty his wife enters the house and makes inquiries was the scene we could see. Shivarajakumar speaking to this senior journalist for a few minutes said he plays a mechanic in this film and he had to make lot of jumping from set to set for this film. He intends to see his son a famous dancer and he showed the set erection pointing his finger at it. All are gearing up for the new feat in Kannada filmdom said the ‘Energy Star’ (the new crown) Shivarajakumar.
After moving on to various locations in the huge building of four floors there is a scene in auto at a bridge that will be shot very near to the main spot. Shivarajakumar disclosed that he has completed rehearsal of 70 percent and a few more scenes he is sure of completing it in one take.
Yagna Shetty present at the rehearsal is thrilled with this project and playing the wife of superstar Shivarajakumar. She had climbed the location of four floors nine times and was interested in coming in a cycle to different locations. I have to give my portions in one take and I have mugged up the dialogues and I am thorough with it said the confident Yagna Shetty who remembered her school days.
Namana Films Anaji Nagaraj was extremely busy in conducting meetings and reacting to the inquiries. He hoped everything would be very smooth tomorrow.
Tension Nagaraj took the team of www.chitratara.com around the 10 sets and introduced the struggle taken up for completion of this film. A lot of wood work and window planes have been readjusted with carpenters help and the huge building wore a new look with slogans line ‘TRUST IN GOD HE WILL SMILE AT YOU, WE CARE FOR YOU, YOUR HEART IN SAFE HANDS’ gave the hospital atmosphere.
At the rehearsal spots we could see nearly 10 directors and 10 cameramen plus the key director Prashanth. Each director has been given six scenes disclosed director PN Sathya.
The artists like Achyuth Rao, Dilipraj, Manju Bashini, Mico Shivu, Raju Thalikote, RG Vijayasarathy, Harini, Psycho film heroine Anitha and others were seen at the rehearsal spot.
The artists pick up from their houses starts 2.30 early in the morning (11th October 2009) and the muhurut takes place at 5 am. The artists have been asked to get ready with make up at 5 am.
The maximum shoot will be held in one location with nearly 2000 people working for this film ‘Sugriva’. A small portion of the film will be held in an outdoor location.
Nearly 8 months of hectic preparations is materializing for the Namana Films producer Anaji Nagaraj tomorrow.
