Kannada film actor Srinagara Kitty has turned Good Samaritan for the jail inmates of Parappana Agrahara. He has earned Rs.1 lakh for the jail inmates who have finished their term but not able to give the fees to come out.
Srinagara Kitty like his father in law Ravi Belegere the flamboyant journalist and editor of ‘Hai Bangalore’ was shooting for ‘Sanju Weds Geetha’ of director Nagashekar in the actual prison of Parappana Agrahara. The jail inmates pleaded their innocence and Kitty developed an idea at this stage.
After finishing the shooting for ‘Sanju Weds Geetha’ as a promotional activity for his another film ‘Swayamvara’ he consulted the Zee Kannada to participate in the television show of ‘Salakkondu Salaam’.
Zee Kannada understanding the good cause put a condition that they have to pass the quiz. So actor Srinagara Kitty, actress Sharmila Mandre, director Anantharaju and comedy actor Anand took part in the ‘Salakkondu Salaam’ and Zee Foundation fixed the amount of Rs.1 lakh.
In the rounds of Savings Bank, Joint Account, Current Account and Blank Cheque round conducted by beautiful actress of Kannada cinema Varsha the foursome of ‘Swayamvara’ Kannada film took part.
At the last round it is only Srinagara Kitty remained in the blank cheque round. For the vital question ‘Which male animal that gives birth in the universe’ for four options Kitty gave the right answer as ‘Sea Horse’ and won the prize money for the inmates of Parappana Agrahara prisoners.
Zee Foundation released Rs.1 lakh to the Jail authorities of Parappana Agrahara confirmed Srinagara Kitty when he was contacted on mobile on Wednesday night. The episode of foursome of ‘Swayamvara’ taking part in ‘Salakkondu Salam’ was telecast in Zee Kannada on Wednesday night from 9.30 to 10.30 pm. Kitty was shooting for ‘Mathe Mungaru’ of director Dwarki at this time of telecast of his very useful program.
