At Windsor Manor on Wednesday evening ‘Koffi Shop’ audio album was released by Karnataka information minister Khatta Subramania Naidu and he put before the Kannada cinema industry the need for making quality films when government has given whatever the industry has asked.
It is true the industry is churning out poor quality films. But it is the duty of the industry to answer the alarm call given by the information minister.
The key man of the evening director cum producer Geetha Krishna made open the tag line of the film and the trailers and made a knowledgeable speech. This is related to intelligence and I am not saying I am intelligent he pointed. Geetha Krishna is inspired from Aparichitha of olden days and Cyanide to take up this kind of cinema. ‘Andhu Koda Hage Illa Khanditha Kushi Koduthe’ is what Geetha Krishna points to the value of this film. Meanwhile the Telugu version is ‘Koffi bar’ and Tamil version is ‘Nimadangal’.
For the first time the Deccan Aviation Captain Gopinath was present at the audio release function. He had very much to say on the nation, politics, opportunities etc.
