Actor turned top producer Basanthkumar Patil of state and national recognition has taken up 250 kilometers walk from Bangalore to Thirumala Hills for the Pooja of a Sandalwood garland with Thirupathi Thimmappa to place it on his mother Samadhi in Bijapur.
As a customary practice one full year Basanthkumar Patil did not consume milk, fruits, and sweets not took part in any festivals from the day of his mother Smt Thulasa Bhai Patil demise. As the first death anniversary day performing Pooja to the mother’s ‘Samadhi’ with this very special garland he returns to the normal life.
Basanthkumar Patil with his nephew Santosh and manager Venkatesh left on Padayatra to Thirumala on 19th of this month in the morning and reaching Thirumala Hills on 25th evening. Daily 37 kilometers is the walk Basanthkumar Patil is taking up with a Tempo Traveler coming behind him. The TT has the bed, eatables, water to take rest after the day’s coverage by walk.

On reaching Thirumala on Friday he will be taking rest on that day and on Saturday his family members reaching in two cars for the special Pooja. On Sunday afternoon Basanthkumar Patil is returning to Bangalore in his car. The special garland that is offered to Lord Venkateshwara will be placed on Patil’s mother ‘Samadhi’ in the next week.
