While the Karnataka film Chamber of Commerce President Dr.Jayamala praised the Karnataka Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa as ‘Kamadhenu and Kalpavruksha’ the Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa in turn called upon to make health films and encourage the new blood in the cinema industry.
On Tuesday evening at Gayathri Vihar Palace the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce honored the Karnataka government for introducing the Anti Piracy Act and saving the grace of the industry. Dr Jayamala on this occasion urged the government to apply stringent punishment on users of the pirated CD and cassettes besides the sellers of pirated audio and visual CD.
The Karnataka Chief Minister also stated that he would give all the requirements for the Kannada cinema industry in future too. He also answered the demand made by Ambarish for allocating funds to Kannada cinema artists association building when the information minister Khatta Subramania Naidu came to the mike of Chief Minister and reminded the demand of Ambarish.
The Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa and his cabinet colleagues Home Minister VS Acharya, information minister Khatta Subramania Naidu, transport minister R Ashok, Urban development and Parliamentary affairs minister S Sureshkumar received the touching honor. The bureaucrats of the government chief secretary Sudhakar, kannada and culture secretary Jayaramaraje Urs, information director Vishukumar also received the honors from the KFCC.
The Kannada film producers association President KCN Chandrasekhar welcomed the gathering on stage, Artists Association President Ambarish urged for the financial support to the artists association building in his speech.
The fabulous cultural programs were prepared for this occasion to treat the huge gathering from the Kannada cinema industry. The Karnataka chief minister and his colleagues watched the one and half an hour treat. The song Nimmindhale Nimmindhale praising the government for introducing the Piracy act, skit on piracy, olden days to the present crop famous songs, Attakalari dance, real star Upendra emphasizing on originality, the voice over Dr Vishnuvardhana the participation of a number of artists on stage was something memorable in the pages of the Kannada cinema industry.
On stage with CM and cabinet colleagues were Ambarish, Jaggesh, Mukyamantri Chandru, Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar, Dr.Sarojadevi and bureaucrats of the government of Karnataka.
Ramesh Aravind and Aparna did the anchoring. Doddanna proposed a vote of thanks. When the guests were on stage after the cultural event the state anthem Jayabharatha Jananiya Thanujathe….sung by Mysore Ananthnaswamy a recorded one was another treat.
Liquor and food was served by the Karnataka film chamber of commerce for thousands of invitees on this occasion.
Doddanna proposed the vote of thanks but there were no one on stage at that time. There was hell a lot of rush at the bar counter and food counters! The confusion and over pouring was seen only at this juncture of this rather neatly and tidily arranged felicitation program of KFCC.
