One of the finest voices we have today in Karnataka MD Pallavi unknowingly entering the record books in bringing out the eight famous light music singers style from her vocal chord on 28th of this month at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall at 7 pm to 10 pm. It is ‘Swara Smarane’ a tribute to legendary singer composer Dr C Ashwath and young and vibrant Raju Ananthnaswamy – one died at the fag end of the year and the other at the beginning of 2009.
‘Swara Sanje’ a light music evening will be a strong treat for the music lovers no doubt about it. Pallavi is joined by her highly talented husband Arunkumar the percussionist. He is arranging for the live instruments in which some of them are very rare. This rare feat of MD Pallavi and husband Arunkumar is supported by Academy of Music.
The specialty of this program ‘Swara Smarane’ is that the most popular poems sung by very popular singers like P Kalinga Rao, Mysore Anantaswamy, Padmacharan, HK Narayan, GV Atri, Dr C Ashwath, Raju Ananthaswamy and Vasanth Kanakapura.
MD Pallavi adjusting her voice to the level of eight prominent singers will be a fabulous treat everyone is expecting.
The occasion will be touching because Dr SP Balasubramaniam will be releasing the last bunch of compositions of Dr C Ashwath that is titled as ‘Deva Veene’ a collection of poems of Da.Ra.Bendre and others plus Pravin D Rao compositions of ‘Sri Shankaracharya Krithis’ – KAILASA will be released under the Samudra Trust.
On the launch of Samudra Trust by couple Pallavi and Arunkumar the special musical evening plus audio releases is a hat trick moment for the couple. BS Sukumar, Gayathri Sukumar, Goa Datthu, SR Venkatesh are also members of this ‘Samudra Trust’.
