The Hamsalekha College of Performing Arts and Research Center affiliated to Dravidian University, Andhra Pradesh was inaugurated on Monday morning the beginning day of Ashada Masa.
The Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa did not turn up as he was busy in Ramachandrapura Math function and on his behalf the housing minister V.Somanna (the newly jumped MLA to BJP) was present but not to take the right honors. V.Somanna was neglected when the guests like Go Ru Channabasappa, TS Nagabharana and Prof SG Siddaramaiah were invited to the ‘Shilanyasa’. V Somanna almost walked out but he was pacified to inaugurate the college inside the premises of Hamsalekha office. The protocol was not understood. Housing Minister V.Somanna coming on behalf of the Karnataka chief minister was sidelined.
The Hamsalekha College of performing Arts and research center is coming up at Mudhugere in Channapatna on 50 acres land.
After a friction later coming on state the Housing minister V.Somanna invited the Hamalekha to meet the chief minister BSY in the first week to get the required aid for the good work. V Somanna also came forward to announce that the students from Kolar, Chamrajanagara, Chitradurga and Haveri would get 100 percent discount from government to study in this college.
Speaking on this occasion the ‘Karthru’ of Performing Arts College in the desi style Hamsalekha said the importance of ‘Cultural Politics’ he came to known from KY Narayanaswamy.
The faculty member of Performing Arts College SG Siddaramaiah read out the speech he prepared to submit it to the Karnataka government and thanked the interest shown by CM in the Janapada Academy. This institution is an example to the ‘Nelamoola Samskruthi’. The permanent aid is what required for this institution said Siddaramaiah.
Legislators Ne La Narendra Babu chief guest on the occasion, BC Patil and Smt.Vanaja Patil were present on the dais. The Nadageethe was sung before the lighting of the lamp. RV Harish, Kalyan, Dwarakish, Kari Subbu, Ashok, Chandrahasa Alva, Chindodi Bangaresh, Basavalingaiah and others were present at the inauguration of Hamsalekha Performing Arts and Research foundation.
