Actress Ramya who has kept away from films after joining politics is making a comeback. On Ganesha Chaturti, she has announced the launch of her own production house named AppleBox Studios.
The production house will make content for theatres as well as OTT. As of now AppleBox is on the verge of launching two films for release in theatres. These two films will be released by KRG Studios with whom she is collaborating.
Later Ramya is planning to produce films for OTT and web series as well. ``AppleBox is currently on the threshold of producing two theatrical films which will be distributed by KRG Studios. I am very excited about these projects,``Ramya has said in a statement.
She has tied up with well know film personalities like Hombale Films Vijay Kiragandur, Jayanna Films`Jayanna, KRG Studio`s Yogi G Raj and Karthik Gowda.
The new banner takes its name from the apple box, wooden boxes used on film sets. Ramya says her production company is a `boutique`, meaning that it will be making content oriented films rather than mass masala films.
