The nation’s top rated singer Sonu Nigam has shown his complete affection for the people of Karnataka from ‘Neene Bari Neene’. For any of his albums in other languages he has sung nine songs. Six is the maximum. For only Kannada he has rendered his voice for nine songs that are not only in audio format but also in video format in the direction of Vikram Razdan.

For Sonu Nigam taking up such a bright and colorful project two important persons music director Mano Murthy and ace lyricist Jayanth Kaikini counts immensely. It is this trio Sonu-Jayanth-Mano – given nearly 20 plus lovely songs right from the days of ‘Mungaru Male’ released in December 2006 end.

Brimming with happiness at the album release of ‘Neene Bari Neene’ was Jayanth Kaikini. The variety given here in the nine songs are for the first time. The younger day’s love, college day’s first time love, a rock anthem tried for the first time and other topics give this generation a right mix of songs says Kaikini. The film, folk, Bhavageetha, Ghazal, western are all mixed in this album. The other albums of similar kind are with one top song whether it is Alisha Chinai or Adnan Sami. But we have maintained the melody, mood; mesmerizing effect from Sonu Nigam voice for all the nine songs says Kaikini. At the time of composing in Mano Murthy house in Sadashivanagar it was fun and Sonu Nigam going into every detail while recording at Mumbai further enhanced our work said Kaikini. For the Trikoota Ashok Kheney joining has further given new possibility to it felt Kaikini. The challenge for this album was to keep away the monotony stated Kaikini.

This is one and half year’s project and the idea was first floated by Sonu Nigam. He wanted to give something to the people of Karnataka. I fell in love with the idea of Sonu Nigam. There are romantic songs plus one rock anthem. The making of this album was fun filled and with lot of affection it is made says Mano Murthy.

All the nine songs are sung by inimitable Sonu Nigam, scored by one and only Mano Murthy and written by the very famous writer Jayanth kaikini.

The two of the video form of the songs Ba Nodu Gelathi Navilu Gari Mari Hakidhe… starring Sonu and Madhuri Bhattacharya and title track Neene Bari Neene….were screened at the Windsor Manor prior to the media briefing. Madhuri Bhatacharya and Imtiaz are the other characters in the two songs screened.
