This is special. This is an extraordinary attempt. What is that? Banni Bengalurige Namma Company Kattuva…a song from ‘Made in Bengaluru’ of Rajani Thursday Stories banner in the production of Balakrishna and direction of Pradeep has come out with a novel content – 11 languages in the song, eight singers and one music director Ashwin Kumar arrived at an interesting song that dates back to 1980’s.

On Tuesday evening senior PRO of Sri Raghavendra Chitravani Sudheendra Venkaesh released the poster of ‘Made in Bengaluru’ and veteran director of 91 years SK Bhagwan released the song of the film ‘Made in Bengaluru’.

Releasing the poster of the film Sudheendra Venkatesh recalled the meeting with Balakrishna and team that is disciplined and dedicated. It was in 1976 Rayara Ashirwada and Chikkappa DV Sudheendra evolved Raghavendra Chitravani. Sunil, his son, my brother DG Vasu continuing the RCV, Balakrishna came to our office with Jagadish paintings and Sweet box. He wanted a big star for the beginning of the film poster but he settled with SK Bhagwan for the release of the film. We had a two hours meeting with SK Bhagwan and that gave a lot of experience to Balakrishna and the team. SK Bhagwan directed Mantralaya Mahatme in the 1960’s and a team of Balakrishna devotees of Sri Raghavendra Swamy made the right choice, remembered Sudheendra Venkatesh.

SK Bhagwan in his speech recalled how vastly Bengaluru is growing. Five years ago the population was 89 lakhs but today it is 1.34 crores. It is an exodus to various fields of activity. The brain is coming here for investment. I feel proud of my Bengaluru, he said.

Pradeep, director of the film, said he owes gratitude to his parents for reaching this stage. My father Krishnamurthy taught me a lot of things at the dining table. Later Balakrishna showed his wish for a culturally relevant film with values. I loved this motivation. I got big stars like Saikumar (he says he is made in Bengaluru), Anant Nag, Prakash Belawadi on board. It is about the fulfillment of a dream. Suhas character in the film comes for investor search. Finally he lands up with a gangster for investment. What transforms later is interesting, he says.

I am seeing myself in this film. 22 years ago I had the same situation. It is said Los Angeles is the best in the USA, for us Bengaluru is the best in India. A lot of startup companies started in Bengaluru like Amazon, Flipkart, Infosys, Swiggy, etc. Anyone who comes with plans for success is guaranteed in Bengaluru and that is also the reason for keeping the title mentioned by producer Balakrishna.

Ashwin P Kumar has done 12 songs for this film and Shashiprabha Kirugnana Viragi penned lyrics. He is a friend of director Pradeep, a very talented person from college days. This particular song we wanted was in Ranga Geethe style and Prabhat Studio came for help he stated.

Madhusoodhan Govind is a young entrepreneur character in the film, Puneeth Manja and others are in the cast. The song Banni Bengalurige…is sung by Sri Harsha, Kambada Rangaiah, Narayan Sharma, Madhwesh, Vijeth, Meghana, Pooja and others.
