Director R Chandru, who is busy with the post-production work of multi-lingual movie Kabzaa, is thrilled over the response received for the teaser of Kabzaa movie. The number of views of the Kabzaa teaser has already crossed 25 million. “I felt very happy to receive a phone call from a well-known Tollywood actor. He, after watching Kabzaa teaser, has enquired me to know whether I have a script for him to make a movie. Many people from neighbouring states are in touch with me. Today, a few movie producers from Andhra and Telangana are already here to discuss distribution of dubbed versions of Kabzaa,’’ said Chandru.

He said that he did not sleep after watching the blockbuster movie KGF. “I was in awe. I appreciated Prashanth Neel for making such a movie. I decided on that day that I too have to make a movie on par with the KGF. I was not jealous about Prashanth Neel but decided to make a movie. So, it made me come out with Kabzaa,’’ he said.

He recalled how he and his team worked during the lockdown last year. “We utilized the lockdown to prepare better for the shooting of Kabzaa movie. The entire Minerva Mill was reserved for the movie Kabzaa for three years. I have to appreciate the art director and his team for putting up such huge and risky sets for the shooting of this movie. I am grateful to Upendra sir for his cooperation during the shooting,’’ he said.

If all goes well, Kabzaa movie is expected to be dubbed into seven or nine languages. “I kept the shooting of one song pending. It is a special song. I will take a call on it after consulting distributors of other language movies,’’ he said.
