KFI APPEAL TO GOVERNMENT TO OPEN THEATRES

The Karnataka Film Industry apex body members led by President DR Jairaj met the Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and submitted a memorandum to open the theatres in Karnataka.

There is already a lifting of lockdown on theatres in Andhra Pradesh, Telengana and Kerala states. Considering this in mind the theatres permitted to screen films in Karnataka is the appeal made by KFI.

The KFCC on behalf of the industry also sought relief for current bills, tax relief for exhibitors.

KFI is ready even for the 50 percent occupancy as the second wave of Corona pandemic comes down considerably.
