The pride of South India Dr Kamal Hassan the ‘Ulaganayakan’ reaches the 50 years of his professional career on August 12, 2009. The efforts to release his latest film ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ on that day to coincide the 50 glamorous and gleeful years is going in vain. That is because of some dubbing problems the film is facing and as of now it will be released in September.

No doubt Dr Kamal Hassan is the living legend of the Indian Cinema Industry but his fifty illustrious years in film profession was appreciated for his efforts, novel thoughts and ability.

Dr Kamal Hassan from the days of ‘16 Vaithininiley’ showed supremacy in acting and his versatility in films like ‘Sigappu Rojakkal, Ilamai Unjil Adagiradhu, Manmatha Leelai, Maro Charitra, Sagara Sangamam, Swathi Muthyam, Guna, Maha Nadhi, Pushpaka Vimana, Indian, Ek Duje Ke Liye, Sagar, Apoorva Sahadorgal to the last release ‘Dashavatharam’ his filmgrophy is filled with achievements and accolades.

A highly potential actor to coincide with his 50 years organized script writing workshop in association with IIT Madras was receive well and at the same time his daughter Shruthi Hassan turned very ‘Lucky’ to accept her first Hindi film.
