R.N.MANDRE PASSES AWAY

One of the pillars of filmdom in Karnataka attached mainly to exhibition, production and distribution of non Kannada films R.N.Mandre died on Friday after a prolonged illness. He was 78 years.

The owner of Sangam theatre in Bangalore and Mysore the agile personality RN Mandre took to exhibition of cinema as his favorite and the famous Sangam theatre in Majestic area got him the complete recognition.

RN Mandre is known for exhibition of Hindi and English cinema at Sangam theatre, Bangalore has taken up many advanced thoughts in his regime and remained as one of the supremes in film career.

He has made films like Paduvarahalli Pandavaru and others as his association with Puttannaji and Dwarakish was very strong.

Among the current screen charmer it is Sharmila Mandre the heroine of ‘Sajani’, ‘Krishna’ Venkata in Sankata etc is the grand daughter of RN Mandre.
