Just from the slip of the tongue of ‘Mungaru Male’ producer E Krishnappa at the audio release of ‘Banni’ Kannada film at Arjun Arts Studio we came to know that ‘Mungaru Male’ has got only two Film Fare awards while ‘Moggina Manasu’ his second film has bagged five awards.

This is what E Krishpappa has said on Wednesday 29th July 2009 – that is almost three days prior to the South Film Fare awards presentation night in Hyderabad on 31st of July 2009. Like every year the South Film Fare is announced on the day of presentation and of course the award winners are informed well in advance. But this time media had got the clue.

Taking clue from E Krishnappa announcement Chitratara.com the popular Kannada film portal made a small investigation and got it confirmed what E Krishnappa has said – It appears true that ‘Moggina Manasu’ has bagged five awards of South Film Fare - Radhika Pandit has got the best actress, E Krishnappa the producer for best film, Shashank for best director, Shuba Punj for best supporting actress, Yash for best supporting actor in the film.

When this portal also went deep in to the declaration of awards that is supposed to take place on Friday night the highly placed sources says the best actor award for Ganesh has been chosen for ‘Galipata’ Kannada film. The awards are likely for Jayanth Kaikini, V Harikrishna, Krishna plus playback singers Sonu Nigam and Shreya Goshal.

‘Moggina Manasu’ has bagged five of the eleven awards. Congratulations to all the winners of ‘South Film Fare Award’!

There were six members in the awards committee to select awards for Kannada films. Sriraksha and Shivakumar couple is among others in the awards panel.
