Dhuniya Vijay with a change in the title card as Vijayakumar – director in his debut and in lead role of `Salaga` has given a swashbuckling action film. The story is a revenge saga filled with dialogues that were unexpected. The daring and dashing approach is a partial Vijayotsava – releasing for this Ayudha Pooja festival – Ayudhas such as pistol, long and other sharp edge weapons are utilized for the brutal killings.

As a director Dhuniya Vijay has given a commercial entertainer and he has the smartness of managing the suspense, telling the long flashback at the post interval that too in front of a cop Samrat. As a hero this is a convincing film and he has done several types. It is a cakewalk for him in acting.

Vijay as an adolescent is immersed in tragedies and mistakes, which he had not done. That makes him very tough. On return from prison Vijay alias ‘Salaga’ Nadadedde Daari. He has four people in mind to take revenge. He takes the revenge without leaving a clue so that the police do not catch him.  Enter Samrat (Dolly Dhananjay) with a special assignment to counter Salaga. It is not that easy for Samrat to encounter Salaga. What next is what you can watch if you love action extravaganza.

Dhuniya Vijay has that rough style very much required for this role. He is too good in action portions. Dialogues for Sanjana Anand is what unexpected. Dolly Dhananjay steals the show with a brisk appearance. Bhasker as a cop wins delivering good performance. The height and complexion of Bhasker is an added advantage to handle this kind of role. Achyuthkumar as senior cop is convincing. Sampath Kumar as a dejected father gives good support.

Masthi dialogue is something beyond expectations. Anyhow the film will be given `A`certificate so why not add some of the words stuck to his mind it seems.

Cinematography by Shivamani is brilliant. Charan Raj`s music is a trump card of this film. The Tiningaminga Tishya…song just comes in the background for a while but the song is not found. Navin Sajju`s touching songs are tremendous.

Action lovers you can buy tickets to watch this film `Salaga`.
