Vikrant Rona has set a new record in the OTT space. The Kannada version of the film was released on Zee5 OTT on September 2 on the occasion of the birthday of the lead actor Sudeep. In 24 hours, it has been streamed 500 million minutes.

The film is around two hours thirty minutes long. This means that even if everyone watched the film completely, a minimum of 21 lakh people have watched the movie. The real count could be however higher as people tend to forward content while watching on mobile phones. That is the reason streaming platforms count the number of minutes a film is watched.

Vikarant Rona was released on July 28 in 3D and 2D. Most of the ticket sales for the film is said to be in 3D. The OTT experience is only in 2D. The film was also a box office hit having said to have grossed over Rs.200 crore worldwide in five languages. The film has been released only in Kannada on Zee5. The film is likely to be released on different platforms for different languages. The Telugu version is scheduled for September 18.
