DR RAJAKUMAR STAMP RELEASED ON RAJYOTSAVA DAY!

At the banquet hall of Vidhana Soudha the Karnataka chief minister B.S.Yediyurappa unveiled the huge stamp bearing the photo of Dr.Rajakumar for thunderous applause. Before this unveiling the Chief Post Master General, Karnataka Region MP Rajan IPS handed over the Rs.5 denomination of Dr.Rajakumar stamp to the chief minister of Karnataka BS Yediyurappa.

I am very happy to release the postal stamp of Dr.Rajakumar and on the Rajyotsava Day the release of the stamp is very special for the people of Karnataka said Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa addressing the gathering. The Chief Minister lauded the Central Government Communication department in this step as Dr Rajakumar has been rightly recognized.

In the art world facing poverty and working hard reaching the pinnacle is possible from the life sketch of Dr.Rajakumar. He is the ‘Dhruva Thaare’ of over five decades the chief minister pointed.

MP Rajan the chief post Master General explained that the Dr.Rajakumar stamp is the 30th personality and institutions in Karnataka to get released. This is in limited numbers and only once the stamp is brought from Indian Postal Department he stated. The first stamp of Karnataka personality was Sir M Vishveswaraya and the 30th one is Dr.Rajakumar.

Smt. Parvathamma Rajakumar, Union minister of state for Railways KH Muniyappa, RS deputy speaker Rehman Khan, Chief Secretary to Karnataka government Ranganath, legislator Roshan Baig, Jayaramaraje Urs secretary to Kannada and culture department, NR Vishukumar, director Information department were present on the dais.

Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar thanked the government of Karnataka, government of India and Postal department for a stamp on her husband Dr.Rajakumar. The blood donation and eye donations are very important she stressed on this occasion.

Jayaramaraje Urs welcomed the dignitaries on the dais and NR Vishukumar proposed a vote of thanks. The T shirts and caps bearing Dr.Rajakumar photo and stamps were sold on this occasion.
