EDAKALLU CHANDRU NO STUMBLING BLOCKS!

For famous actor Edakallu Chandrasekhar there are no stumbling blocks after his return from USA and Canada to the acting fold. Back in Bangalore staying at Sterling Apartments in Malleswaram Chandru down the memory lane recalls his rich experience of 17 years stay in USA and Canada. He wonders the people have not forgotten him for his role in ‘Edakallu Guddadha Melere’. After a long stint in advanced countries Chandru is happy with the technological advancement everywhere.

Speaking to this correspondent at Green House restaurant at the Karanji Audio release Chandru sipping chilled beer looking thin from his daily exercises says he has quite a few offers in Kannada films and making entry to small screen from ‘100 Dinagalu’ television serial in Zee TV that also stars Dwarakish and Anu Prabhakar in the lead roles.

Chandru after getting good response on his ‘Poorvapara’ the novel suggested by late YNK when he had been to USA produced the film with the literary work of Jayanth Kaikini and did not burnt his fingers. The film ‘Poorvapara’ that says about the roots coming back was screen in Sundance film festival later it was screened in North America, Dubai, Australia, Melbourne and Bangalore ‘Poorva Para’ ran for 7 weeks and it was nearly to 50 days in Puttanna theatre explains Chandru.

Chandru daughter Thaniya is studying in US while his wife Sheela is running Rathi School of Dance and teaching Bharathanatyam. It takes some more time for them to reach Bangalore but as of now Chandru is taking care of his parents who are in 70’s and 80’s. This is somewhat similar to his film ‘Poorvapara’.

A film on adoption Chandru is currently contemplating in his mind and has scores of films like Puneeth, Chamrajpet, Jeeva, Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu etc.
