According to highly placed sources the bureaucrat I.M.Vittala Murthy is making a leap in to direction from Poornachandra Thejaswi (Son of Rashtrakavi Kuvempu) novel ‘Kiragurina Gayyaligalu’ (it was staged as a play). The IAS officer and presently the bureaucrat in the government of Karnataka Youths and Sports department I.M.Vittala Murthy a well known culture and heritage loving personality had been waiting for a quite long time to take up direction. It seems IMV consulted one or two top level directors take up ‘Kiragurina Gayyaligalu’ (Kiragur’s brazen woman – it is bold and shameless war of words) novel for film but finally ended up making debut as director. He was associated with the production team of ‘Kanooru Subbamma Heggadathi’ that was directed by Dr.Girish Karnad in the past.

Late Poornachandra Thejaswi’s novel ‘Jugari Cross’ is still crossing swords. Hat trick hero Shivarajakumar has agreed to act in this film that was supposed to be directed by Kodlu Ramamrksiha. Another novel of Thejaswi ‘Krishne Gowdana Aane’ reputed director S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu announced to make the film. It is still in the cold storage.
