POWER STAR PUNEETH 50 MNTS IN LUCKY MAN

The Karnataka Rathna Dr Puneeth Rajakumar last but one Kannada film ‘Lucky Man’ has his presence of 50 minutes on screen in the direction of Nangendra Prasad debut.

The first briefing of the film Lucky Man, a remake of 2020 Tamil film ‘Oh My Kadavule’ the team members shared their experience and director Nagendra Prasad (son of Sundaram dance master and brother of Prabhudeva) and Darling Krishna immensely lauded the moments of work with Appu.

The media attention was on significance of Power star Puneeth Rajakumar portions in ‘Lucky Man’ and Prabhudeva and Puneeth Rajakumar dance for ‘Baro Baro Raja Annavra Hadige Dance Madona….is the apple of the entire film. Explaining this Nagendra Prasad said it was the wish of Appu sir to dance with Prabhudeva that he had disclosed in one of the episodes of ‘Kannada Kotyadhipathi’. Hearing to this Prabhudeva made arrangements for it when Puneeth agreed to act in ‘Lucky Man’. We have shot at the Covid time this particular song recalls Nagendra Prasad. I miss him immensely and he is ‘God’ in our film, informs director. For me to become a director Puneeth sir is the main reason. I had in fact worked as assistant director to my elder brother Prabhudeva Rowdy Radhod after a year’s stint in cinema related studies that I took up after a few years of cinema acting, adds Nagendra Prasad.

Puneeth Rajakumar and Prabhudeva cynosure of all eyes in ‘Lucky Man’ is releasing the audio on Tuesday at Sheraton Hotel. The film is set for release on 9th of September 2022. The Lucky Man title was also suggested by Appuji when we went with titles like Bhagavantha, Bhagyavantha and Lucky Man, recalls director Prasad.

Darling Krishna in the lead role of the film says he has liked every minute of working with Appu. I had worked behind camera for two of his films and for one of the films I had sat at the ‘Gold Finch’ auditorium when the media briefing was going on, remembering Darling Krishna. According to him there is a scene wherein he asks Appu can I hug you. That is of immense importance to me besides many touching conversations we have, he says.

The film in Tamil I had seen and liked very much. I thought of myself as the main character but it materialized in three months. There is entertainment, emotion and my favorite Appu is there, I am Lucky Man to be his co-star, says Darling Krishna.

Sangeetha Sringeri a popular heroine today is in a prominent role and she expressed unhappiness of not meeting Appu so far. She thought of meeting at the media briefing of the film but god had different plans. He lives with us always, she disclosed. I play the rich girl character of Anu in this film, she says.

Roshani Prakash of Coffee Thota and Kavaludari is Meera, an assistant director who speaks about the life of women. I am still in Kavaludari hangover as it was produced by Puneethji. I met him in the process of the film. My unhappiness is immeasurable for his demise, she adds.

Dhananjay has composed music for six songs in ‘Lucky Man’, he assures that there is good variety and he had written lyrics for the songs.

Kamaraj, one of the producers of the film, was present at the media briefing on Sunday morning. This is his second film after ‘Samhara’.

Jeeva Shanker wielded the camera for this film. Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila and others are in the supporting cast.
