Posted date: 20/November/2008

Sitting pretty with the stupendous success of ‘Taj Mahal’ director R.Chandru in his second film also giving a feel full cinema to the audience and picking the feelings of his surroundings in the past for contents. He has groomed up the subject in such a way that every viewer of his film would see themselves in the film. I am not interested in giving imaginary contents in my films says R Chandru.

This time in ‘Prem Kahani’ he is looking at the girl from posh area Sadashivanagar how she reacts to a boy from poor locality Srirampura. At the age group of 18 to 21 how love is maintained and is it right thinking and what happens in the later stage of life is also concentrated in this touching subject by R.Chandru.

Very clever in his address R.Chandru says he is not interested in going outside Karnataka for shooting and be a very calculative director for the producer he says. A producer sustain there would be job for hundreds in the cinema industry he says. According to the limitation of the Kannada cinema market we have to spend he makes a point. This film will be a musically hit film promises Chandru. He is shooting for 60 days for this film in Madikeri, Mysore and Bangalore.
You would see a different kind of Rangayana Raghu says Chandru with a smile on his face. There are two action scenes and that would along with the screenplay add Chandru.

For Ajay Rao the flood gate of fortune has started again after ‘Taj Mahal’ and for that R.Chandru is responsible he agrees. He is very happy for the home town Bellary producers making this film. I would work hard for the film promises Ajay Rao. Like how ‘Taj Mahal’ was director film this film also would be a director film says Ajay. I play a slum boy and there is lot of scope to perform in this film that has lot of heart touching incidents. It would touch the inner hearts when seen on the screen. Answering a question on the poster where he is in bad shape he said for love I have to undergo such costumes he said.

Sheela the pretty heroine from neighboring Andhra Pradesh the ‘Paragu’ girl who is doing ‘Maska’ in Telugu is in four films so far and she is in her first Kannada film ‘Prem Kahani’. Excited and looking for a role in Kannada from a long time Sheela says there is lot of scope for acting. I play very bubbly in the first half and there is a transformation in the second half that is very challenging. I am scared whether I can do justice to this role she expressed. Meanwhile this beautiful girl has come directly come to cinema in her school days.

Cameraman K.S.Chandrasekhar continuing his second stint in the camp of director R.Chandru thanks the producers for giving the camera equipments he has asked. The whole film will be shot in Super 35 MM and it is a treat to work with that camera because the film had to be done DI. There are some exotic locations like Madikeri and Mysore where a cameraman can produce lot of good results in the outdoor. The super 35 MM camera is brought from Chennai on a daily rent of Rs.20000 says Chandrasekhar.

Work results from super 35 MM camera on the editing table gives a lot of freedom for the editor says the editor of ‘Prem Kahani’ KM Prakash. In a normal camera the opportunity to be different in the output is not possible. We have different negative and frames available gives lovely opportunity for an editor added Prakash who is normally not seen at the media briefing.
