ROBO GANESH - BANGALORE IS HIS LUCKY CITY
Posted date: 16/August/2009

The internationally acclaimed robot dancer with four years of rigorous exercise and experiment in the house without going to any institute ROBO Ganesh a Bangalore born but Chennai resident feels Bangalore is his favorite place and Kannada cinema industry gave me the chance first after knocking so many language films – Bangalore is lucky as it gave me both given fame and supported me economically speaking to this correspondent in an exclusive chat at the SV Productions Guest House on the Independence Day morning.

A struggler in the initial days with short temper, straight forward this neglected youth Ganesh made up his mind to turn back the world at him. As of now he is partially successful and his 1500 shows in India and many countries from just Rs.100 to Rs.40000 per show have put him in the comfort zone in life.

Ganesh son of an employee in the Binny Mill a resident of Uttarahalli in the past lived in Bangalore up to five years and even his sister Anandi was also born in Bangalore. Later Ganesh shifted his base to Pondicherry where he studied up to 10th standard. He completed his further studies in Kadalur district Kurunjupudi.

It was in the year 2000 Ganesh saw the English film ‘Terminator-Judgment Day’ in the television he started rehearsing. He started learning one by one for three years without any coach. ‘My mind power is very high - It is the mind power that is shaping me to this stage today’ says Robo Ganesh who has given his first show at Namakkal Hotel. Those who were licking ice creams melt it down and food plate’s audience could not control remember Robo Ganesh.

From that day December 31 2003 I thought I should make such programs and further enhanced my learning in Animation, Cartoon, Machine and Man Robot techniques says Robo Ganesh. I have performed in the doctor’s conference and they said I am a miracle. I have not consulted any doctor and absolutely fit. I had the L5 disc slip, left shoulder pains and at the 126 days event of ‘Josh’ on Friday evening I have performed with high fever.

I hail from an ordinary family today I am given respect and recognized even in Airport I am let to go in the VIP section. I have a dream of making it big in the international level without copying Jim Carry or Michael Jackson. I do not even ape Prabhu Deva our Indian boneless wonder. The reason is that identity should come originally says Robo Ganesh.

From just one show a day to five shows a day of minimum of three hours duration I have given in countries like Bangkok, Singapore, Malaysia, Srilanka (3 times), Doha, Kuwait, Burma and Dubai. My dance has no language barrier.

Back in Chennai where he worked in MTC for one and half years after finishing ITI technical course once performed in front of the famous dancer in films and actor Lawerence. After watching my performance Lawerence said ‘I am nothing in front of Robo Ganesh’.

The south Indian talents are treated shabbily in the national level competitions. Robo Ganesh quoting the experience of ‘India has Talent’ program in Color TV where the greats like Shekar Kapoor, Sonali Bendre and Kiron Kher were judges said he was deceived. The program conceiver does not understand the difference between ‘Entertainment and Talent’. They say original but approve songs sung by others and music scored by others. ‘I am fed up of such competitions’ says Robo Ganesh who was shunted at the Semi Finals by the ‘India Has Talent’ program.

Robo Ganesh is extremely talented even in car driving. The Verna Car he bought on 1st February 2007. He was advised to learn driving and then drive. On 3rd February 2007 he drove the car from Chennai to his lucky place Bangalore.

What is the mantra of Robo Ganesh – ‘Practice in a hard way it takes near to perfection’! All the best to the wonder called Robo Ganesh.
